New Zealand have ensured a direct entry to the ICC Girls’s World Cup 2025 after Bangladesh misplaced the final match of their ICC Girls’s Championship sequence in opposition to the West Indies in Basseterre on Friday. New Zealand have been assured the direct berth as they completed forward of Bangladesh on the idea of registering extra wins (9 to Bangladesh’s eight) after each groups completed with 21 factors within the 10-team event, that noticed all groups play eight three-match sequence – 4 at residence and 4 away.
Hosts India and the opposite 5 high groups have been assured of direct qualification whereas the underside 4 received an opportunity to make it via a Qualifier.
Australia have gained the championship with 39 factors whereas India completed an in depth second with 37. England (32), South Africa (25), and Sri Lanka (22) are the opposite groups to have ensured direct berths to the World Cup.
Bangladesh (21), West Indies (18), Pakistan (17) and Eire (eight) shall be joined within the World Cup Qualifier by Scotland and Thailand, the 2 different highest-ranked groups as of October 31, 2024. The small print of the Qualifier shall be introduced in the end. There are two spots up for grabs via the Qualifier.
India will host the Girls’s ODI World Cup for the fifth time in 2025, and its first world ladies’s event since 2016 when the T20 World Cup ran parallel to the lads’s occasion. The 2025 version is ready to be much like the 2022 version, with eight groups participating and enjoying a complete of 31 matches.
