Afghanistan left-arm pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi has been fined 15 per cent of his match charge for displaying dissent at an umpire’s resolution in the course of the second ODI of the three-match collection towards Zimbabwe in Harare. Farooqi was penalised for breaching Stage 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The violation falls underneath Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Gamers and Participant Assist Personnel, which addresses “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during an international match.” The incident occurred within the fifth over of Zimbabwe’s innings on Thursday when Farooqi confirmed dissent after an LBW attraction towards Craig Ervine was turned down.
Farooqi gestured for a evaluate regardless of the absence of DRS within the match.
